Recent rumors have suggested that the Launcher Shortcuts no longer be a part of Android N for an indefinite period and will be removed before the final version. Android N Developer’s Preview 3 was presented at the Google I / O 2016 and it is not surprising that Google took the opportunity to discuss the future of Android, and some of the features we can expect from the next version of the operating system. A new feature was intended to allow developers to create new types of shortcuts on the main screen and offer the same functionality as 3D Touch from Apple. Moreover, each developer would be able to bring to the label launch their own vision, providing a quick start of a function.

However, since the Launcher Shortcuts will not be part of the first consumer version of Android N, the function is likely to be ready in the next version of Android.
