As usual, the new flag hides the link chrome: // flags / # enable-ntp-snippets. While default this feature is disabled, but you can easily activate it for further testing.

Your frequently used pages will be shifted toward the top of the new tab page to make room for the list of content from around the web. Clicking on any of them, a preview of the text box along with a link to open it in the tab.

We do not know how the selected links to content, but most likely, they are based on based on your search terms. While the function works correctly, but this is an experimental option in the browser version for developers – so that errors can be expected.
