Journalists from Android Police decided to conduct a quick test, which consisted of the installation of two applications. Journalists have downloaded Facebook and Facebook Messenger and detected during installation Nexus 6P running Android N and Galaxy S7 running Android Marshmallow.

The results were pretty impressive:

  • Facebook Messenger (Nexus 6P): 17 seconds
  • Facebook Messenger (Galaxy S7): 45 seconds
  • Facebook (Nexus 6P): 32 seconds
  • Facebook (Galaxy S7): 3 minutes 21 seconds

Of course, the test is not exhaustive, but it gives us a great idea of ​​how the JIT-compiler in Android N. Three minutes on what to install one application, a terrible result, so that those who frequently updates the software on Google Play, will be happy to innovation in Android N.

Thus, everything that is connected with the installation of the application, was significantly accelerated. For example, now after the firmware, applications, and recovery will take place much faster.
