In particular, G4 Plus excels in taking pictures. Smartphone cameras strengths include fast and accurate auto focus, the ability to make good pictures, even indoors in low light, excellent color reproduction and white balance, as well as a good HDR mode.

However, due to the fact that Moto G4 Plus automatically determines when to use HDR, sometimes the camera can disable this mode, so the experience of using HDR rather contradictory. Other disadvantages of the camera include a loss in the shadows, a small blue dominant shade at some photos when shooting outdoors, and occasional inaccuracies autofocus in low light conditions when shooting video.
