In addition to technical performance and some cosmetic differences, the latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge also differ from their predecessors when it comes to sales of devices. According to new data, the new flagship devices significantly outperform line Galaxy S6.
According to the new report, which is based on the preliminary results of the survey Counterpoint in more than forty countries, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge ahead of the S6 and S6 the Edge in most regions. In fact, the results indicate that in some regions the increase was as much as 50%, but Counterpoint notes that the only region in which they do not see a significant change in growth, is South Korea. However, in some respects, it may not be as bad news, as it seems.
With Samsung dominating presence in South Korea, most likely, they are getting to the kind of food how sales can grow. At the same time, in other regions such growth is possible, and recent results suggest that they achieve this growth to its new smartphones.
From the point of view of the interpretation of these results, Counterpoint claims that Samsung made some very accurate and smart moves this year, which helped make the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge so popular. One of these was the launch of various activities like free VR headset and content set for the headset.
In Counterpoint said that Samsung’s decision to release the device in March (earlier than usual), worked in their favor. All in all, Samsung sold more than 10 million units worldwide, a 25% improvement over the previous generation.
