Google Android fragmentation report published

Although Marshmallow is the latest version of the operating system, it still remains one of the rarest. According to Android 6.0 to the latest data can be found only 0.7% of all available Android-devices.

Nevertheless, it is important to mention that a new version of the mobile platform from Google ranks a 0.2% increase of the market compared with the previous month.
Kitkat still reigns supreme, with its 36.1%, despite the fact that this index is less than 0.5% in comparison with December 2015 year.

With regard to Android Lollipop, its distribution has increased by 3.1% and amounted to 32.6%. The previous version of Android KitKat almost caught up.

At the same time, the share of most of the previous versions of the green robot, such as Jelly Bean, Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread, is reduced.

The exception is the Froyo – an archaic version of Android is still kept at 0.2% and it seems, is not going to give up their market share.
