Back in September, it was reported that Google is working on a similar project, and now and now it’s official. With AMP, Google aims to improve the performance of the mobile internet without the need to remove these types of content such as video, animation and graphics.
Ideally, the same code will be able to run on multiple platforms and devices so that the content will appear anywhere in an instant, no matter what device is used.
The project is based on AMP HTML, which is a new open platform, which is built from existing web technologies. The first group of publishers and technology companies who collaborate with Google, include Twitter, Pinterest WordPress, Chartbeat, Parse.ly, Adobe Analytics and LinkedIn.
In the coming months Google to expand cooperation to build more functions and features based around certain areas.
