Google Auto may appear in Rhode Island

The new bill proposes to make certain changes to the existing road legislation, thus stating that a valid driving license can be applied in the case of an autonomous vehicle that operates in a fully autonomous mode.

Self-cars of Google have been tested for both in theory and in practice, and the company is gradually coming to that autonomous vehicles will soon be able to appear on the streets of cities like something daily, and it can happen much faster for Rhode Island.

If the bill passes, Rhode Island joins Florida as one of the few states that contribute to the recognition of the legitimacy of fully autonomous vehicles, manufacturing and testing which takes Google.

According to the Bill, a person who uses a self-guided vehicles, will be considered as a full driver that will be responsible. This could set a precedent for making decisions for the introduction of autonomous vehicles in other states.

The problem is that it may conflict with possible future popravkasi laws for people with special needs. In the case of Google, this may mean that the liability can be arraigned on the company engineer.
