According to Mike Hayes, who is director of Android and Chrome Business Development program is still attracting attention from hardware partners worldwide. He also noted that they are still “continue to support a number of OEM-manufacturers, who have collaborated with us on the program”.

Until now, Android One was focused on emerging markets. However, this may soon change, given that the company is going to pay attention to their hardware business. We could see that Google will release Android One devices in countries such as the US, where he could offer affordable smartphones with the best software support.
