Google expanded Google the Auto Division

As reported by Reuters, the search giant has increased the self-car division to 170 employees. That does not sound very solid, but given that 40 of them are new to the team, Google has big plans for the industry of autonomous vehicles.

Google is known for its propensity for experimentation and one area in which Google is actively experimenting, it is self-managed vehicles. Not so long ago it became known that Google is looking for employees with experience in the automotive industry, and it seems that Google has filled in the gaps.

As reported by Reuters, the search giant has increased the self-car division to 170 employees. That does not sound very solid, but given that 40 of them are new to the team, Google has big plans for the industry of autonomous vehicles.

Reuters stumbled upon this information by viewing ads on the LinkedIn site, so that the data can not be 100% accurate, but most of the new employees have been working in the field of cars.

Some of these go to Google from Ford, General Motors, and more interestingly, Tesla Motors. The latter company has been developing for quite some time on a self-drive technology and is at the forefront of electric cars.
