Late last year, the network has information according to which Google is testing a feature to run applications without installing. And here, at Google I / O company introduced Instant Apps – implementation capabilities, which is tested for over six months.
Thus, soon Google Play users will be able to test a particular application without having to install it on your device. When you click on a link, Google Play will launch a component of the program to perform a particular task.
Moreover, the user will also be able to choose whether to install the application directly on the device, or continue to use the web version. So if you have a device with limited disk space, but profitable internet rate, this may be the perfect solution.
Instant Apps does not require a completely new project or a single distribution, it is made of the same code as the application. However, to work with such an application, developers need to share the application into modules, to have the opportunity to use the individual components in real time.
Unfortunately, the presentation did not mention how it will work for paid apps, but Google said that Instant Apps will appear “for next year”.
