Google Maps error cost the people at home

Home 7601 Cousteau Drive near Rowlett had to be demolished after the tornado weakened its structural integrity. Demolition was assigned to one of the companies that used Google Maps, to continue their way to the location and begin the process … only, Google Maps have the wrong house when typing this address in the navigation.

To err is human … and robots too. Google Maps accused of a very unfortunate accident, which occurred after the tornado tornado went through Texas neighborhood.

Home 7601 Cousteau Drive near Rowlett had to be demolished after the tornado weakened its structural integrity. Demolition was assigned to one of the companies that used Google Maps, to continue their way to the location and begin the process … only, Google Maps have the wrong house when typing this address in the navigation.

Instead, the company came to the house, which was a block away from the correct location, and continued to demolish the building. When homeowners have complained that the company was reported to have received a text back, showing a screenshot of Google Maps that show them in a way saying that they are not willing to take the blame for the mistake.

For us, this is an unfortunate reminder that people are not perfect, and the technologies that make people who are not always ideal. Of course, homeowners, this episode is more than just a reminder – this grim reality, and they likely will not just apologize.

But despite this terrible event, it is quite interesting to know what will resolve this situation.
