Google will publish files on the OTA-factory images online

The site for developers of Google now shows the last two Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow updates for all Nexus devices from your Nexus 7 (2013) to the Pixel C. It is complete OTA files, and do not need to unlock the bootloader to install them to users. Of course, you still need to install files from ADB-interface, and if you’re not familiar with it, you will need to read the relevant instructions.

The owners of Nexus have no problem getting the actual plant, the operating system Android.
