Google will reward users for their assistance in Google Maps

Google strongly motivate users to participate in their initiatives. The company offers to everyone the chance to get a 1 TB disk space Google Drive for free. But that is not all.

Google will reward users for their assistance in Google Maps

The search giant from Mountain View rewards its users, who regularly add new locations, leave reviews about various places, upload new photos, update outdated or make new and useful information.

The system, through which you can get more cloud storage, has been created in the form of game achievements. Therefore, the more a user participates in a local guide, the higher the reward. Google will filter out low-quality feedback, so that people who are trying to cheat the system, do not get 1 TB.

Of course, the disk space will be available throughout the year. At the end of the period, the user will still have access to all the files, but not be able to add new files.

The platform has 5 different levels of awards:

Level 1 (0 – 4 points): Maintain text competitions in several countries.
Level 2 (5 – 49 points): Get early access to new Google products and their characteristics.
Level 3 (50 – 199 points): display in Google Maps icon official local guide.
Level 4 (200 – 499 points): Get Free 1TB Google Drive.
Level 5 (500+ points): Get the right to apply to participate in the first summit in 2016, where the user will be able to meet other guides from around the world to explore the Google campus and get the latest information on Google Maps.

As it turns out, do not need to reach level 5 to get 1TB of cloud storage. For the best local guides, who scored more than 500 points, Google has to hold the inaugural summit next year. The company promised to release more information with regard to this summit in 2016.
