HTC is developing proprietary cleaner system

Currently, HTC is preparing a special application Boost +, which handles the processes involved in the slowing down of the smartphone. This means that the Boost + will occupy cleaning cache and RAM, as well as block access to other applications. It should be noted that HTC is trying to monetize Boost + by displaying advertisements on the lock screen.

There are tons of free apps on Google Play from third-party developers who promise to clean the insides of the smartphone from the factors that slow down the CPU, reducing battery life and turn your smartphone into a collection lags and friezes. And while the Android OS can not handle it alone, smartphone makers are included in this space.

Most of these cleaners actually work in the opposite direction. Boost + recommends to close almost every application that runs in the background to preserve battery life. But if you constantly use one of these applications, its opening and closing actively budkt actually drain power faster.

So companies need a more responsible approach to application development, so as not to turn it into another program that, at best, has the effect of a placebo. Now Boost + is at the stage of closed testing, James that we have to wait for public beta or launch applications.
