Last year, Huawei has introduced three versions of P8 smartphone: standard with 5.2-inch display, P8 Lite with a 5-inch screen and a 6.8-inch P8 Max. According to the new report, this year the company will reconsider some tradition.
The site Venture Beat says that the company will release a successor to each version of the P8, but add in a new line of another smartphone. Fourth P9 series smartphone will get a screen larger than a typical P9, but less than the P9 Max.
For reference, a typical P9 will have a 5.2-inch display, but there’s no word on how big the screen is at P9 Max. It is also expected that the new product will offer more RAM and disk space, as well as dual 12-megapixel camera. This is the second smartphone Huawei, which will boast a dual-core camera.
At least one flagship model will be equipped with eight cores actually manufactured by Huawei, Kirin 950. All variations will be running Android Marshmallow operating system.
Apparently, Huawei’s will not advertise P9 at the upcoming MWC 2016 in place, the company plans to hold a separate event in March.
