Unlike many testers that test device for strength and durability, guys from iFixit disassembled smartphones for more practical purposes. They want to find out how well your smartphone is made and how you can make it out at home to ordinary people, who have a couple of tools.
Check iFixit have experienced a variety of devices, but the last of the smartphone received fairly low scores maintainability. Due to the transition to a one-piece design and neskmnym batteries, devices such as the Nexus Galaxy S7 and 6P got a measly 2 out of 10 points.
But as LG G5, it seems that it continues the tradition of G4, earning as much as 8 out of 10 repairability score from iFixit. The lower part is detached quite easily, the battery is removable, and most parts are modular and legkozamenyaemy.
There are not many parts that need to be peeled off, and with it significantly complicates the analysis of a few bolts with a non-standard form of the cross. Also, fused glass display and increase the cost of repairs, if one of the two parts will be broken.
