MediaTek denied rumors of overheating Helio X20

Many major media, both in China and around the world have posted the news that made MediaTek comment on rumors (which are usually avoided manufacturers). Earlier today, the MediaTek announced through its official microblogging statement that because of the forthcoming Helio X20 is not overheat.

The company added that the overheating Helio X20 will not be a problem, given that in the case of temperature increase, the chip will be used only eight cores Cortex-A53. Two Cortex-A72 core, in turn, will be disconnected.

The company MediaTek said that the Cortex-A72 core are quite energy efficient. Mass production of the chipset has already started and, therefore, we have to see smart phones based on this chipset very soon.

Recall, Helio x20 – the world’s first processor with desyatiyaderny trёhklasternoy architecture. It has a dual-core Cortex-the A72 with a frequency of 2.5 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of 1.4 GHz.

X20 – an important chip for the company, so it is not surprising that MediaTek quickly responded to the rumor. In the past year, about the same time, there were rumors of overheating Snapdragon 810. And though Qualcomm denied the rumors, it later emerged that they were true.

We hope the information on warm-Helio X20 still remains a rumor.
