The mobile market has definitely changed over the past few years. The market appears more and more offers are available that offer attractive characteristics.
In many respects it is a merit of the MediaTek, which offers offers a solution with a low cost, and judging by the new line of chipsets replenishment, soon we will be able to contemplate smartphones with LTE support for $ 50.
MT6738 is the most cheap processor of the new trio. It uses a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor with a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz and a graphics accelerator Mali-T860MR1. Support for screen resolution is less than 720p, but the SoC can be paired with 4 GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera. Of course, the chip works with networks LTE cat. 6.
MT6750 is equipped with eight-core Cortex-A53, the first half of which is clocked at 1.5 GHz, and the second – at a frequency of 1 GHz. The GPU slightly more powerful than its predecessor, is a Mali-T860MR2, but the maximum resolution supported is still limited to HD. Support camera, however, increased to 16 megapixels.
The third chipset, which joined the range of the MediaTek, became MT6750T. Its specifications are almost identical to the standard MT6750, except that the maximum resolution that the chipset can handle – Full HD. Given that the graphics accelerator is the same, we can predperemestit that it will work on a higher clock frequency.
The aforementioned trio will go into mass production after the Chinese New Year, so if all goes according to plan, we will be able to see ultra-low cost-the LTE smartphones this summer.
