The problem was rather confusing interpretation of the policy, which prohibits interference applications and services in other programs. But updated Play Store Developer Policy Center gives us to understand that the company’s application store will have to say goodbye to the ad blocker.

In particular, banned apps that block or interfere with another application ads. This is the first time Google officially recognized in the content of its program document that ad blockers violate app store policy.

Previously, developers blockers advertising received via e-mail notice indicating the item. 4.4, but even then the application can be freely distributed to Google Play. That is why the company decided to directly specify the prohibition of different blockers, which are now unwelcome guests on Google Play.

But do not rush to start a boycott Google. It is worth noting that the company still allows you to post browsers with built-in ad blocker, and even plug-ins for browsers. Brave Browser, plug-ins for Firefox, Adblock Browser and Adblock Fast for Samsung TouchWiz still in Google Play, and yet will be there.
