OmniVison presented a new sensor

OmniVison maybe not the brand name, but chances are you could use a smart phone, equipped with one of its 8-megapixel sensor. Moreover, the sensor uses the company’s space-mapping project of the Tango, so that the demand for the products of the company, of course.

And now the manufacturer has announced the addition to the range OV13870 sensors, which I fit in 13-megapixel sensor. All this is packed into a relatively small unit that supports an optical format of 1 / 2.6-inch, and overall height is the height of 5.2 mm, making it ideal for thin smartphones. Sensor interoperability also supports dual which is suitable for use in double units as in LG G5.

Also, the camera can shoot video in uliravysokom resolution at 60 fps, 1080p at 240 frames per second or 720p at 300 frames per second. Company OmniVison says OV13870 available to producers and should enter mass production in Q2 2016.
