The OEM-manufacturers are still waiting for Qualcomm’s shipments of their new flagship processor Snapdragon 820. Although the device 820-m will appear only next year, apparently, the company has already started work on the next generation.
According to the new Insaidoo, the Snapdragon 830, which has the model number MSM8998, it will be built on 10nm process technology. This would mean a major increase in efficiency, which ultimately will result in a greater battery life with a marked dissipation of energy as heat.
Snapdragon processor 830, of course, will come to replace the Snapdragon 820, which will be made on 14nm process technology.
Regarding the timing of the withdrawal on the next chipset market, say the SoC will be ready for delivery in the second half of 2016.
Given the failure of the Snapdragon 810, Qualcomm’s still passionate inning market of middle and high segment, which the company was forced to give up chips from MediaTek.
