Earlier today, a well-known insider Evan Blass posted in his Twitter account a video showing a smartphone BlackBerry Venice in two variations. One version is expected to be based on the Android operating system, the second model will work under the management of BlackBerry 10. But that did not stop likster.
Evan Blass, who became famous under the name @evleaks, sent another tweet with a quick five-second GIF-animation (which has already been posted on YouTube as a video) with the image of Venice.
The video shows that the device runs on Android Lollipop operating system. We can also see the opening mechanism of physical QWERTY-keyboard.
In contrast, based on the corporate segment of the BlackBerry Passport, which originally was supposed to get a variation with Android, Venice seems to be more suited for a consumer audience. And it can affect positively on the sales of the smartphone.
Android-users will be happy to know that the device
will receive a 5.4-inch display with rounded edges and a resolution 2560h1440 pixels.
Venice also be equipped with Snapdragon 808 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 18-megapixel main camera with OIS.
Rumors say that the smartphone announcement is scheduled for November, the device will be available for four major US suppliers.
