Back in November, Samsung announced that its Samsung Unpacked event will take place on February 21, the day before the MWC 2016 in Barcelona. It was easy to guess that Samsung will use this event to present the Galaxy S7 smartphone.

Samsung today confirmed that the company’s new flagship will be announced Feb. 21. Two images that gave Evan Blass likster show partially open box with the inscription #TheNextGalaxy and date of February 21, 2016.
Together with the Galaxy S7, the South Korean technology giant will present at least one more smartphone, namely the Galaxy S7 Edge. We expect that the Galaxy S7 is equipped with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED-display with a resolution 2560h1440 pixels. Depending on the region in which the smartphone will be sold, it will be equipped with a processor Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820.
Also, the device will get 4 GB of RAM, along with a battery of 3000 mAh. The rear of the Galaxy S7 will adorn the 12-megapixel camera BRITECELL. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, in turn, will have the same specifications, but the diagonal of its screen will be increased to 5.5 inches.
Some of the features that we saw in the Samsung Galaxy S5, but not passed in the Galaxy S6, such as dust and moisture protection on IP67 standard, as well as a microSD card slot, also find their place in the updates.
