Samsung issued a press release announcing that the company began mass production of chips using the 14nm process technology generation of the second FinFET. At the same time the South Korean technology giant has confirmed one more news.

In its press release, the company has officially confirmed that Samsung produces a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and it has now become clear that the manufacture using 14nm process technology FinFET of the second generation.

This means that the Snapdragon chipset 820 includes Low Power Plus function. This allows it to operate at 15% faster while consuming 15% less power compared to the processors by using a first-generation process technology 14nm FinFET.

The Samsung Company, of course, uses new technology to produce Exynos 8890, which will equip the Galaxy S7. The first-generation 14nm process technology FinFET has been used in the production of Exynos 7420, which was fitted with a line of smartphones Galaxy S6, so the probability of such a development is extremely high.
