Sony will release a smartphone with the HDR-display

After Sony has unveiled Xperia Z5 Prime with 4K-display, it seems, the manufacturer is going to present another smartphone with a crazy display innovation. PhoneRadar says that Sony will introduce a premium version of the Xperia X with the HDR-screen TV.

HDR mode is all the rage these days. This display is capable of displaying a much wider range of colors than older technologies: 16.8 million, compared with more than 1 billion. So sooner or later will have to be such smart phones.

After Sony has unveiled Xperia Z5 Prime with 4K-display, it seems, the manufacturer is going to present another smartphone with a crazy display innovation. PhoneRadar says that Sony will introduce a premium version of the Xperia X with the HDR-screen TV.

In addition, the display brightness will be 1000 nits, making it the brightest display of the smartphone on the market. For comparison, Galaxy S7 boasts 855 nits. Also, the display can be displayed in 1024 shades of color in RGB spectrum, instead of the standard number of 256 colors.

Of course, HDR mode sounds interesting, but whether it benefits from? So it was with the Xperia Z5 Prime – 4K mode can be activated only for certain activities, such as watching videos.

It made sense, because the cons of using 4K on a regular basis outweigh the pros and similar characteristics would be an even greater disappointment. So, hopefully, the company will be able to find a compromise with the HDR-screens.
