Update brings support for Android Wear speakers

Google has announced an update to Wear platform. The new software will be released for all wearable clock running Android Wear. It is expected that the update will be available for all devices in the next few weeks.

In addition to the standard bug fixes and stability improvements the new version brings support for Android Wear built-in speakers for portable devices.

Moreover, the market already there are smart watch, equipped with the speaker, such as Huawei Watch and ASUS ZenWatch 2.

This means that you can make and receive calls with your watch. It was also possible to listen to the audio or video messages via the specific application.

New gestures were also included in this release. You can expand the map, manage applications, and return to dial shaking. These gestures are in addition to the already available that allow you to scroll through the window of the wrist movements.

Finally, the new version adds support for sending voice messages to third-party applications. So with this update you will be able to say something like «Ok Google, WhatsApp to send messages to Ivan: I’ll be right».

And, of course, Ivan will receive a message in WhatsApp, containing these words. Other applications that are supported by this feature include Hangouts, Nextplus, Telegram, Viber and WeChat.
