Earlier, we heard that the EU antitrust regulators may consider charges against Google and its Android mobile operating system, and now, according to a recent report, US regulators may also pay attention to Android.
The news comes in a Bloomberg report, which stated that the Federal Trade Commission is looking into antitrust allegations regarding the Android operating system.
Earlier, we heard that the EU regulatory authorities investigated Google’s own applications that are supplied with the new Android devices, as well as the fact the fact that manufacturers have to use all of the Google apps on their devices if they wanted to use one of them.
As yet there are no details on how the US conducts an antitrust investigation, but it is possible that they may follow the lead of their European counterparts.
We will monitor the situation and be sure to notify you as soon as we get more information on possible European and American anti-trust investigations.
