Xiaomi have problems with the supply of Mi 5

After just over a week after the announcement, flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5 proved to be the undisputed success in China. The company has received nearly 17 million registrations for the first wave of sales, which began on March 1 at 10 am Beijing time.

At first, it was available only to the standard version with 3 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of disk space. As for the extended version Mi ceramic casing 5, and the ROM 128 GB 4 GB RAM, it was not available, and the company does not disclose yet when this option will become available.

As you know, all the devices have a 5.15-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.

According to the report of the Taiwan publication Economic Daily, Xiaomi produced about 4 million units Xiaomi Mi 5 for the first batch of supplies. It is at least four times less than that required to deliver, so the company asked its manufacturing partners Foxconn and Inventec to increase production.

But even so, it can take sufficient time and users will get their long-awaited device in April or May.
