It’s no secret that Xiaomi Mi5 will be released next month, shortly after China’s Spring Festival will be held. We also recently learned that Foxconn company has accelerated the production of smartphones, in order to stock up before the release in February. It also means that the leaks and rumors about the device in the coming days will increase.
Today Xiaomi Mi5 was again seen in the benchmark GeekBench site. Listing has shown the same specs that surfaced before. Thus, the smartphone will come with 3 GB RAM and a processor Snapdragon 820. The processor has been confirmed by one of the co-founders of the company earlier this month, so there’s no surprises.
With regard to the benchmark results, they are similar to what we have seen in the past. However, this version comes with a Snapdragon 820 at a frequency of 1.59 GHz instead of 1.36 GHz as the leak last month. The device was able to recruit in 2182 and 4892 in a single-core to multi-core test.
Of course, having four cores, the processor is difficult to compete in a multi-core test with such rivals as the Exynos 8890 and Helio X20. These chipsets are gaining more than 6,500 points in the same test.
However, another Mi5 was also seen in GeekBench yesterday. The smartphone has a similar configuration, but showed slightly better results. He scored 2015 points in 5096 and one in the multi-core test.
Xiaomi Mi5, which we saw today, is the standard version’s flagship model. More expensive models will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM.
According to recent rumors, Mi5 will be available in two versions. As standard, the unit will be delivered in the case of glass and metal frame, while the enhanced version to get all-metal body.
