ZTE introduced its own VR-headset

Apparently, ZTE VR has more in common with something like the Samsung Gear VR, than with budgetary Google Cardboard. Headset from ZTE contains its own hardware sensors that help provide superior head tracking position.

As is known, the new flagship smartphone from ZTE, Axon 7 received 2560h1440 display with a resolution of pixels to provide a virtual reality experience. Also, the device has become one of the first devices that will support platform Daydream, so that should not be a surprise that the company has its own accessory for the VR use.

Apparently, ZTE VR has more in common with something like the Samsung Gear VR, than with budgetary Google Cardboard. Headset from ZTE contains its own hardware sensors that help provide superior head tracking position.

Thus it has ZTE VR-axis gyro 9, with a delay of only 18 milliseconds, and can achieve the result in 16.7 seconds. As is known, low input lag is crucial for the production of immersive experience of virtual reality.

Although Axon 7 will be to meet the requirements Daydream, likely that users will have a lot of compatibility issues. Perhaps, ZTE VR will work with all devices that support Daydream, but we will not know until they are presented with other smartphones with support from Google VR-platform.
