An increasing number of companies are considering the possibility of building their own chips to ARM-based architecture.
ZTE recently received financial assistance from the Chinese government that will allow the company to accelerate the production of processors.

Another Chinese giant, the Lenovo, as they say, began to take serious steps to make your own ARM chips.

According to DigiTimes, Xiaomi has already entered into a partnership with Leadcore Technology for the joint production of an ARM-based chipsets for Xiaomi smartphone that will be released in 2016.

Of course, the chip development – it is hard work that takes several years and requires a lot of skilled engineers.

Even Kirin chipset has been sharply criticized, and were not considered competitive, especially when it comes to energy efficiency. However, this means that competition is heating up and we will keep track of all three companies and their future processors.
